Hello My Name Is...

Kimberly Earl

I am a Gifted teacher for grades 1-3. I have taught here at HSES since it opened in 1999. I have taught first and second grades, including 2 years of "looping" with my class from First to Second, which were my favorite years of teaching! This is my second year teaching Gifted Education (Program Challenge) in grades 1-3 and I absolutely LOVE what I do! I enjoy the energy and enthusiasm for learning my students have, and how they love to think "outside of the box". They are definitely a unique group of individuals and I am embracing the challenge of taking them to new places and higher levels of learning. It is such a blessing to have a career doing what I LOVE to do and instilling the love of learning into such young minds.
I am very proud to be a Holly Hawk!

I am also proud to be a product of the Douglas County School System. I have been married to my husband, Mike, for 30 years. We have 2 beautiful daughters, ages 25 and 26, who are also products of the DCSS. Both have earned degrees from the University of West Georgia, and my oldest is currently working on her Masters Degree in Educational Technology. I enjoy spending time with my family at the lake, the beach, ball games, concerts, church, and community events. We are also HUGE FANS of the Alabama Crimson Tide! ROLL TIDE! I am a firm believer in "Family comes First", but I love my Holly Hawk family and all of the children's lives I have touched in the past and will continue to influence to foster a better tomorrow! :-) I am really looking forward to another wonderful year in Program Challenge! Go Hawks!
