Assistant Principal's Corner

Home Strategy
Encourage students to visualize as they are reading.  Visualization requires students to have a visual perspective on various parts of a text. Students can imagine the characters and their actions, discuss and use vocabulary from the text to get a picture in their heads about the content.  Creating a picture in their head also allows students to have a more personal connection to the text, therefore having a better chance at comprehending what was read.
