Picture of Mrs. WallsI was born in Lubbock, Texas at Reese Air Force base where my dad served in the United States Air Force. We moved to Newnan, GA shortly after where I attended Coweta County schools kindergarten through 12th grade. It is during those years that a love for learning was instilled in me by some of the very best teachers. I knew the first day I came home from kindergarten that I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in May 2009 with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

I started my first job teaching 4th grade at Holly Springs in August 2009. I taught 4th grade for 7 years before looping up with my entire class and teaching 5th grade. I taught all subjects in 5th grade for the 2016-2017 school year. This year I taught 5th grade Reading for the entire grade. I am co-captain of our school Relay for Life team, 5th Grade Math Team coach, and 3-5 Basketball Camp co-sponsor.

I continue to live in Newnan with my husband, John, and our two beautiful children, but I call Holly Springs my “home-away-from-home”. I have been, and continue to be, blessed to work with an amazingly talented staff doing a “job” that truly makes a difference in the world.
