About Me
Hi! I am very excited to serve the students and staff of Holly Springs Elementary through the school's library media center for the 8th year in a row! I love working with students and sharing a love of literacy along with developing technology skills to enhance learning. Originally from the northwest corner of Indiana, I moved to GA when I was seven. I believe I received an excellent education through the Douglas County School System. I went to Bill Arp Elementary, Fairplay Middle School and Alexander High School. I then went to college at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton to major in Early Childhood Education.

After teaching for four and a half years and completing my Master's Degree in Media & Technology, I was hired as the Media Specialist at Lithia Springs Elementary. I gained ten years of experience as a Media Specialist before transferring to Holly Springs Elementary.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending my time with my husband and our four boys. My oldest son is a United States Marine. My husband is a veteran of the USMC as well. Semper Fi! My second oldest son is a freshman at GA Southern. My 11 year old is a 6th grade student at Fairplay Middle School and Luke, the youngest, is in Pre-K. Family keeps us very busy but I also like to walk/hike, shop, travel and visit with family and friends. And, of course, I love to read! My family is very involved at our church, First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville.
