Karen Timms
I am excited to be beginning my 30th year of teaching. I started my career in Fulton County were I taught at Dodson Drive Elementary and Conley Hills Elementary School for ten years. After taking a few years off to raise my sons I returned to teaching here in Douglas County. I enjoyed six fun years of teaching at Bright Star Elementary before transferring to Holly Springs Elementary thirteen years ago. During my career I have been honored to be named building level Teacher of the Year on three occasions. I received the additional honor of being chosen as a County Finalist for Teacher of the Year twice in Douglas County. I believe my greatest honor as a teacher has been watching my special education students graduate from Springs prepared for the next level full of confidence and dreams.
